What?
WildPlaces hosts a youth art and information booth each year at the Apple Festival. Passing families stop and kids get to paint trout in a river or an acorn woodpecker to take home with them! We also pass out information about WildPlaces, our programs and search for new members.Sponsored by the Springville Community Club, the Apple Festival is a family oriented, non-profit, alcohol and drug free event that attracts more than 30,000 visitors each year.
Why?
Kids like to paint! We like to paint!
Who?
We had great help at our booth this year. Students from Granite Hills High School’s Snow Club managed the youth painting activities on Saturday and Sunday. We also had two students from La Sierra high School helped set up, manage and break down our booth. Both La Sierra students attended Immersed in the Wild last week at Dome Rock.
Where?
Springville is located in the foothills of the Southern Sierra Nevada on the Middle Fork of the Tule River.
