What?
WildPlaces staff led Cub Scout Pack 137 on an adventure hike along the Tule River. Scouts were introduced to the concepts ecosystems, habitat, biodiversity and watersheds. They also built on their map and compass skills earning their compass and hiking badges!
Why?
Education is key to raising young people’s awareness of the environmental and social challenges we face on a global and local scale. WildPlaces has taken the lead in educating and equipping our local youth with the understanding and tools needed confront these challenges.
Who?
Cub Scout Pack 137 members come from Springville and Porterville, CA.
Where?
Upper Coffee Camp on the Middle Fork of the Tule River – Giant Sequoia National Monument.
